Summer Orientation 2013
In order to help you get ready for college life, The University of Scranton will hold two-day Summer Orientation sessions for first-year students and their parents/guardians. Families can choose to attend one of four sessions that are filled on a first-come, first-served basis with an effort to ensure equal representation of students from each of our academic colleges. Later in the summer, we will send you information about our Fall Welcome program. It is imperative that new students attend these programs to ensure a successful transition of college life at The University of Scranton.

Accommodations
Students:
During our Summer Orientation sessions, all new students will stay on campus in University Housing. Even if you are a student intending to commute in the fall, it is still recommended that you stay in University Housing for the Summer Orientation program. This will allow you to take advantage of all that is tightly scheduled over the two-day period. Students will be housed in traditional freshman residence halls and should pack the following items below. Parents and guests will need to make their own separate arrangements with local hotels for the night.
