Alpha Epsilon Delta (A.E.D.) The Pre-Medical Honor Society

The Alpha Epsilon Delta chapter at The University of Scranton encourages and recognizes excellence in premedical scholarship, and stimulates an appreciation of the importance of premedical education in the study of medicine. Along with The University's Health Professions Organization and Medical Alumni Council, the chapter promotes cooperation and contacts among physicians, premedical students, and educators while developing an adequate program of premedical education. Finally, the honor society brings students interested in the medical field together, and strives to benefit other health organizations, charities, and the community. Go to the AED Website!

Medical Alumni Council (M.A.C.)

The Medical Alumni Council (MAC) is an affiliate of The University of Scranton National Alumni Society and was established in February 1994. Its purpose is to foster interactions between health professions alumni and to provide career assistance to students and graduates of The University's Health Professions Program. The MAC sponsors several events open to students including the annual spring lecture, a fall reception with medical alumni, and a Medical Symposium, at which students and graduates can present research data. The MAC also has compiled and made available to students a Health Professions Alumni Directory which lists alumni who are willing and able to offer career advice or clinical experience to Scranton students.
