Video Conferences

The University of Scranton utilizes two separate Polycom systems that connect you to the world: a portable system that can go anywhere on campus and has access to a 100mb Ethernet connection, and a fixed-room system located in McGurrin Hall room 213.

Portable System

Our portable system consists of a Polycom VSX-7000 single camera codec that connects to any university projection system. Two Polycom conference microphones provide clear voice transmission to the far end site. The system is delivered, set up and tested by our technicians. The camera can be set up to view any part of the room via presets that can be called in via the remote control. The system is easy to use and can connect to any far end compatible equipment via H.323 IP.

Looking for a place to hold your interactive video event? Our state-of-the-art video conference room can comfortably accommodate up to 24 people. Outside companies can lease this room for $65.00 per hour.
