Note also, the formatting tools that you can use to refine the look of your email. Those include Bold, Italic, and Underline features, along with Alignment choices. You can also Indent your type for effect.
Receiving Email

When email is sent to you, it will appear in your INBOX. The shot above shows the Navigation Pane, on the left, with Folders showing, with the INBOX selected. The pane in the center shows the email, when it was sent, the sender of the mail, and any attachments, indicated by the paper clip icon. The pane on the right is the Reading pane. Here, any message you select will be shown on a singular basis, which makes your mail messages much easier to read.
Once mail is in your INBOX, you have many options you can use to manage that mail. On the Ribbon on top, notice the icons available to use. You can Delete, Reply, Forward, and Tag your mail. You can also Move any mail to an existing Folder, or create a new Folder.
NEW in Outlook 2010 are Conversations and Quick Steps.
Conversations
What is a conversation?
You might know a Conversation by the
term e-mail thread. A Conversation is the complete chain of e-mail
messages from the first message through all responses. The messages of a
Conversation have the same subject.
You can reduce the number of messages in your mail folders with the new Conversation Clean Up feature in Outlook 2010. Redundant messages within a Conversation are moved to the Deleted Items folder.
For example, when you send a message to someone and then they reply a Conversation results. In many Conversations, there might be many replies back and forth, or even multiple people all replying to parts of the Conversation. Conversation Clean Up evaluates the contents of each message in the Conversation. If a message is completely contained within one of the replies, the previous message is deleted.
