Free COLTS Bus Service Up and Running
University of Scranton students, faculty and staff can ride any of the COLTS bus service routes for free beginning Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, by showing a valid Royal Card ID. The University’s contract with County of Lackawanna Transit System (COLTS) includes all 31 bus routes, as well as a new COLTS Saturday evening shuttle service from the DeNaples Center to downtown Scranton, the Viewmont Mall and Dickson City locations. University to Conduct Financial Aid Workshop
The
University of Scranton will conduct a financial aid workshop for prospective
students and their parents on Tuesday, Jan. 17, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the
fourth-floor Moskovitz Theater of the DeNaples Center. The workshop will be presented
by William Burke, director of financial aid at The University of Scranton, and will
include a review of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and
details regarding the Jesuit university’s academic scholarship and need-based
assistance programs. Each year, The University of Scranton awards
approximately $19 million in institutional assistance to approximately 1,200

The University of Scranton's Catering Department will host an open house and sampling on Friday, Jan. 20, from 3:30 until 5 p.m., in the DeNaples Center, room 407. Learn to Make Great Pasta Jan. 18

Join Chef Jerry Bogdan on Wednesday, Jan. 18, and learn how to make fresh pasta and get a taste! The event, which will be held at two convenient times, 12:05-12:45 p.m. and 1:05-1:45 p.m., will be held in the DeNaples Center, ballroom A.

Fourth Annual Fitness Challenge Set
The fourth annual fitness challenge, a four-week team competition for students, faculty and staff to promote a healthy lifestyle through physical activity, begins soon. There will be free T-shirts to all participants and prizes to top finishers. In addition, faculty/staff can earn points towards the body pillar.
