Staff Senate Holiday Breakfast Set for Dec. 20

The Staff Senate is sponsoring its third annual Staff Senate Holiday Breakfast event on Tuesday, Dec. 20, from 8 to 10:30 a.m. in the Rev. Bernard R. McIlhenny, S.J., Ballroom, on the fourth floor of the DeNaples Center. The Staff Senate Holiday Breakfast is a free event for all University staff members.

Staff members interested in attending should RSVP to Tammi Cherra at ext. 7494 or cherrat2@scranton.edu by Thursday, Dec. 15.

Staff members attending the breakfast event are encouraged to bring a charitable contribution of either a new, unwrapped toy or new or gently used outerwear (coats, hats, gloves, scarves). Charitable contributions collected will benefit the third annual Community Christmas Day Breakfast sponsored by the Community Outreach Office and the Fresh Food Company.

Please join the Staff Senate for this annual event filled with friends, great food, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle!

December's Staff Senate Meeting Dec. 14

December's meeting of the Staff Senate is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 14, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in Brennan Hall, PNC Bank Board Room (500). For more information, visit the Staff Senate's website at http://www.scranton.edu/staffsenate. Staff members are welcome to attend.

Volunteers Needed for Christmas Day Breakfast

The Community Outreach Office and the Fresh Food Company will be working together once again to bring our third annual Community Christmas Day Breakfast to the Scranton community. We are seeking faculty and staff volunteers to assist on Christmas Day from 7:45 a.m. to 11 a.m., on DeNaples Center's third floor.  While this event is open to all to attend, we are asking that volunteers be University employees and their families only.

If you are interested in volunteering, email Ellen Judge at judgee2@scranton.edu. Check out last year's event at Community Christmas Day Breakfast.

Essential Training for New Staff

The Office of Equity and Diversity invites all staff hired within the last two years to attend essential Sexual Harassment Prevention Training. The final two training sessions of the semester will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 13, and Thursday, Dec. 15.

The sessions run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Brennan Hall, room 500. A light lunch will be served. Managers are urged to remind their staff to schedule to attend. Separate sessions will be held for managers and supervisors. To schedule your session, email diversity@scranton.edu.
