Free Health Screening Scheduled Wednesday
There will be a free health screening for staff and faculty on Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Long Center lobby. Find out your numbers. Blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose screenings (no need to fast) will be done by staff from Community Medical Center. Please drop in. Light refreshments will be served.
Fill out the confidential online health assessment and get $50 if you have not yet done it for 2011.

Downtown Tour & Reception Sept. 29
The Office of Community Relations in cooperation with the Office of the Provost, the Office of Human Resources and community partner Scranton Tomorrow will convene a Faculty and Staff Downtown Tour on Thursday, Sept. 29. Space is still available; please RSVP today to community@scranton.edu or call ext. 4419 (spouses are welcome). Ten Wellness points will be offered and a University blanket will be awarded during a special drawing.
The tour will begin at 4:45 p.m. at Brennan Hall, room 228, proceed throughout the downtown and end at 6:15 p.m. with a reception at 400 Spruce Street – a combination of three regional merchants: Nimble Hill Winery, Cangiano’s Italian Specialties and Chocolate Creations. This event will provide faculty and staff an opportunity to experience and explore Scranton in a unique way. This event is part of on ongoing initiative to familiarize students, faculty and staff with downtown venues and increase University/downtown collaboration.
