Clerical Work Study Position Available

The Weinberg Library is looking for a local /commuter University of Scranton student who is eligible for work study year-round through Financial Aid. Applicant must have available summer hours to work anytime between from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday to perform clerical work for the library administrative assistant. Lunch coverage (noon-1 p.m.) is desirable. Job position will be for the balance of the summer months and continuing on subsequent semesters. Position will normally be available to the chosen candidate throughout his/her academic years or until his/her graduation. Applicant should have experience in Excel, Word, answering of phones (have strong communication skills) and filing.  Interested inquiries only! Public Safety Department Seeks Student Workers

The Public Safety Department is looking for students to work in two new positions. Contact Sharon Evans (570-941-4311) or evanss2@scranton.edu if you are interested in either position.

ROYAL RIDE - Safety Van Driver
Requirements: Must have at least sophomore status and be 19 years old. You will undergo yearly training (watching the driver training video and a road test). The Royal Ride currently operates Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 9 p.m. – 3 a.m. Those hired will not work every night that the service runs.

Fire Safety Inspection Team
Students will perform monthly safety inspections in University-owned buildings. Deficiencies will be noted in order to generate work orders for repairs. The students selected will be trained.

Downtown Scavenger Hunt Sept. 2

Save the date for a new Downtown Scavenger Hunt that will be held on Friday, Sept. 2, as part of Freshmen Welcome Week. The event will be open to all students and is a fun and interactive way to explore downtown Scranton. Registration will begin at 3:30 p.m. The Scavenger Hunt will run from 4-5:30 p.m. and will end with a downtown reception leading into First Friday Scranton.
