Our students volunteers must work through a agency and may not go into private homes for safety and liability reasons.

Unity Festival at Nay Aug Park July 9
This multicultural celebration takes place in Nay Aug Park and demonstrates the rich diversity of people in the communities of Northeast Pennsylvania. The festival has a family-oriented atmosphere and attracts thousands of visitors and vendors from as far as New Jersey, New York and Ohio. To see what's planned for 2011, visit the Unity Festival website. The University’s Office of Community Relations, Office of Equity & Diversity, Office of Multicultural Affairs and Education for Justice Program has helped to sponsor the festival and the University will have an exhibit table, coordinated by the Office of Equity & Diversity.
Bhutanese Nepali Community of Scranton Cultural Program July 10
The Bhutanese Nepali Community of Scranton will present a fun-filled afternoon of cultural programs and a presentation on the journey from Bhutan to Scranton. The event will be held in the Scranton High School Auditorium from 2-5 p.m. Bhutanese/Nepali snacks will be served. For more information, email sbarakoti@hotmail.com.
