University Calendar of Events for May
The University recently released its calendar of events for the month of May, which can be viewed here.
Players Present 'A Man's A Man'
Perhaps the greatest social commentator of the 20th century, Brecht fuses politics, comedy, and large-scale entertainment in his "epic" works. "A Man's A Man" brings us the story of Gayly Gay, who transforms overnight from an ordinary civilian to the perfect soldier. But Brecht's genius doesn't lie solely with social critique. "A Man's A Man" merges slapstick, dance hall bravado, and jaunty tunes to create a theatrical experience you won't soon forget.
Performance times: Fridays and Saturday at 8 p.m.; Sundays at 2 p.m.
Ticket prices: $8 general admission; $5 students, faculty, staff, senior citizens

Students Organize Recycling Event for Hill Section

In light of an ongoing problem of recyclables not being collected in the Hill Section, students living in off-campus housing are encouraged to take their recyclable items to the corner of Mulberry Street and North Webster Avenue. All collections will be taken to a local recycling center. “Sustain Today for Tomorrow” will be held off-campus to make it more accessible to students.
Event attendees will have the opportunity to calculate their carbon footprint to show the amount of greenhouse gases they emit each year. Students will also receive a recycling factsheet and a list of area recycling centers to avoid uncollected recyclables in the future. For more information, contact Caitlin Cavuto at cavutoc2@scranton.edu.
