Recruitment and Retention: A Diversity Approach

The Office of Equity and Diversity invites all administrative staff, faculty and hiring managers to attend an important NEPDEC workshop on Thursday, May 5, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in the PNC Board Room, Brennan Hall (room 500). Eddie L. Davis, vice president of human resources at Mercy Health Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania, will present a dynamic program on the benefit of using diversity as a tool that can help build a stronger, more diverse, more competitive institution. He states that "[D]iversity recruiting is not the job of a recruiter; it’s every employee’s job!”
So where do you start? How do you build a program? How do you embed diversity recruiting and retention into the overall company culture and make it everyone’s job? This workshop will address these questions and yours in an interactive sharing environment. Topics will include: strategic planning, total quality management, employment practices, diversity issues, and employee and labor relations.
