Associate Director of CTLE Awarded American Citizenship

Eugeniu Grigorescu (right), associate director of the University's Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE), was granted American citizenship during a naturalization ceremony Dec. 8.

On Dec. 8, Eugeniu Grigorescu, associate director of the University's Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE), was granted American citizenship in a naturalization ceremony in Philadelphia.

Grigorescu began working at the University in 1998 as an instructional technologist dealing mostly with the enhancement of technology in the classroom. Between 2004 and 2007, he served as the instructional designer working closely with faculty offering online courses. He also assisted with the transition to ANGEL, the Learning Management System. In Dec. 2007 he was named associate director of the CTLE, where he assists the director with overall operation of the center, and provides instructional and program design for the development and support of traditional and web-based courses.

He was born in Romania and came to the United States in 1992. He  holds a B.A. in sociology and an M.S. in instructional technologies from Bloomsburg University. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in instructional systems from Penn State University.
