For the first time in University of Scranton history, the men's crew team placed first in its heat during the 2010 Frostbite Regatta held Nov. 13 in Philadelphia. Michael Volpe, Chris "Red" Del Gardo, Matthew Twardzik, Christian Burne, Jon Galante, Jim Olechna, Mark Dedvukaj, Brendan Reedy and coxswane Martin Hofler were part of the eight-man crew who came away with first-place medals.
