Those interested in applying for a grant should submit a formal proposal for a new program, with evidence of sustained departmental and, if applicable, a proposal for an institutional memorandum of understanding with a partner institution(s) in the country to be visited, to the Office of the Provost by Friday, Nov. 19, 2011. For more information, contact Steven Jones, associate provost for civic engagement and academic mission, at ext. 7520 or joness21@scranton.edu.
Student Behavioral Concern Committee Brochures Available
In late August, packets of the SBCC brochure were sent via campus mail to each department that works or interacts closely with students. Brochures in each packet were labeled for full-time employees and extra brochures were provided for adjuncts and part-time employees. A memo included in each packet requested distribution within the department. The memo also included contact information to request additional copies or ask questions. Additional copies are still available and may be requested by calling the Student Affairs Office at ext. 7680 or sending an e-mail to Pauline Palko at palkop2@scranton.edu.
The SBCC is an integrated team representing departments from across the University. The SBCC meets to discuss and offer informed and planned responses to students of concern.

Does Google Give You A Voice?
Google Voice offers one central phone number, which can be set up to call your other phones based on caller, time of day, etc. Other features of the service include visual voicemail, personalized greetings, voicemail transcription, international calling, and a lot more. It is easy to set up … learn how! All faculty and staff members are welcome, but seats are limited, so please register at www.scranton.edu/ctleregistration (select Special Event). The workshop will be taught by Eugeniu Grigorescu, CTLE.
