Welcome Back First Friday Party Set Aug. 27
Local Address Information Needed
Students who do not provide the necessary information within 15 days of the beginning of each semester will have their access to the UIS (Student Self-Service) system disabled. Questions regarding this policy can be directed to the Office of Student Affairs at (570) 941-7680.
In addition to local address information, you will be prompted to enter information about how to be alerted via our emergency notification system. The University uses Connect-ED to send time-sensitive notifications about emergencies, school closings or delays via e-mail, text and phone messages to members of the University community. In order for the system to be most effective, each semester we ask that you verify and update your contact information. University email addresses are already registered to receive alerts. You can register up to three telephone numbers to receive voice and text messages, and up to two additional e-mail accounts.
Also, you will be prompted to provide confidential contact information for a person to be notified in the event you are officially reported as missing. Such contacts may or may not be the same as the emergency contacts you provided to the University at the time of admission.
Lastly, as discussed during the spring semester, the University’s Public Safety Department has undertaken an extensive training and certification process for our transition to a fully functional, professional University Police force. That process was completed during the summer months and University Police will begin service on campus on Aug. 21.
Should you have any questions, please contact the Student Affairs Office at 570-941-7680.

Scranton Royal ePay Streamlines Student Refunds Process
The University of Scranton's new Royal ePay service is a convenient online tool that streamlines and automates student payments. Powered by PNC Payment Portal, Royal ePay enables the University to deposit payments directly into a student’s checking account – whether financial aid refunds, tuition adjustments or work study payments. So payments are fast – and automatic.
It's easy. Beginning July 26, students will receive an activation e-mail from Royal ePay/PNC Payment Portal. With the activation code, a student can go to www.paymentportal.pnc.com/scranton, log in, and follow the easy instructions to set up a direct deposit profile. Once activated, students receive alerts letting them know when a payment is scheduled to be deposited to them, make changes online, and check on payment activity at any time.
All students are encouraged to activate as soon as they receive their e-mail. In the meantime, any questions can be addressed by calling 1-800-745-7577.
