Royal Dancetacular Makes All the Right Moves

Among those in attendance at the Royal Dancetacular were: (seated, from left) Krystina Monetti ’10, Tina Jezuit '98, director of Cancertacular, Julianna Cardona, Jillian Jezuit, Jonathon Cardona, (kneeling, from left) Jasmine Cardona, Megan Schuck ’10, Matthew Twardzik ’11, Sam Arcieri ’11 and Sarah Phillips ’11.
The Royal Dancetacular, a 24-hour dance marathon held at The University of Scranton Feb. 20-21, which benefited Cancertacular, a local non-profit organization that supports children affected by cancer in Northeast Pennsylvania, was a smashing success.
“We raised over $8,500 and were so happy with all of the support that people showed,” said Krystina Monetti ’10, the marathon's student co-chair with Sarah Phillips ’11.
In addition to dancing, the event hosted a dunk tank, Olympic games, haircuts (people donated their hair to Locks of Love and $5 haircuts were offered), massages, yoga, pilates, zumba, kickboxing, ballroom dancing classes and plenty of food and music.
