Donate Dresses to Cinderella’s Closet

Have a formal or prom dress taking up room in your or your daughter's closet? Donate it to Cinderella's Closet!

Sponsored by the Junior League of Scranton, Cinderella’s Closet is an annual event scheduled Wednesday, April 21, at the Scranton Cultural Center. The event helps high school girls have an opportunity to go to the prom in a dress of their choice and feel like the “belle of the ball” — all for less than $10.

With the cost of formal attire increasing, students and parents are likely to have difficulty affording this important night. The junior league believes students shouldn’t suffer the consequences of these growing prices.

Dresses should be of modern style, clean and in good condition — no 80s dresses please. Cinderella’s Closet also accepts formal footwear, jewelry and hair accessories. Bring back your dresses after Spring Break! Donations can be dropped off in The Community Outreach Office now through Friday, April 9. Our office is located in DeNaples 205B. For more information, contact Ellen Judge at judgee2@scranton.edu.
