Food Theme Resources Available
Faculty are encouraged to incorporate this year's Justice theme into their syllabi. To aid them, resources on food are available at the Education for Justice website http://academic.scranton.edu/organization/edjustice/resources.shtml. Employee Wellness Upcoming Programs
Weigh-in Wednesdays
For the person who wants to continue their weight loss efforts from the Biggest Loser or for those just beginning on a weight loss effort stop in to the Center for Health Education & Wellness (CHEW) on Wednesdays to weigh yourself. No need to report your results it is offered as a convenience and hopefully a motivator to stay on course.
Nutrition handouts include; Meal planning options, Fast and Lean Meal Ideas, 7 things that can change your eating habits,What's hiding in the label, Over Eating While Socializing, Stop emotional eating. Attend 5 consecutive weeks and get 50 nutrition pts of the Body Pillar.

Fitness Challenge
A 4 week team challenge to promote healthy lifestyles for staff, faculty and students. Teams of 3 - 5 members earn points through physical activity, nutrition and POWER points. Prizes will be awarded to the top participants at the closing ceremony.
Session Begins February 8th - March 7th 2010

by February 5th by 4:00 p.m.
Weight Watchers at Work
8 week session for $80 open to staff, faculty and students. Please register in advance so we can be sure to have the required 15 people. Our own Michelle Davis will be the facilitator.

5 K run/ walk
Train for a 5k run/walk with others or on your own. We will provide training programs for beginning and intermediate runners and walkers. Attend an orientation session on Tuesday February 9th at 7:00 a.m. or 4:45 p.m. in the Long Center Lobby.

30 Mile Swim Club
Information sheets about the swim club are available from lifeguards during open swims. All participants must complete the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire before beginning. Forms available from lifeguards. Only swims completed within the Byron Pool will be counted towards the 30 miles. Great way to get or stay in shape.
