Calling All Leaders
The Scranton Emerging Leaders Program is looking for students who wish to develop and enhance their leadership skills. S.E.L. 1 began in the spring of 2003 and its over 400 alumni are some of the most respected student leaders on campus. S.E.L. 1 is comprised of eight consecutive sessions. Each session will last approximately one and a half hours and will cover such topics as The Social Change Model of Leadership, Leadership Style and Assessment, Communication Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Assertiveness, Motivating Self and Others, Appreciating Differences, Next Steps, and Leadership Action Plan.
SEL alumni have been heard to comment that this interactive experience is fun and it challenged them to grow. They made friends with the other leaders in class. They learned a lot about themselves; their strengths and potential and helps them focus on what areas they want to grow. They enjoyed interacting and getting to know the workshop staff facilitator team and also the student facilitators who are S.E.L. alumni. They felt they became better leaders. There are no fees or costs to participating in the program. Classes begin the week of February 8th and end the week of April 15th.
If you are interested in participating in the S.E.L. Program, please complete the on line registration form below by January 22nd at noon. Please note that the class sessions do have limited seating.
