League of Women Voters & Political Science Department Host Campaign School

The League of Women Voters of Lackawanna County and The University of Scranton’s Political Science Department will host Campaign School on Saturday, Feb. 2, in the Rose Room, Brennan Hall, fifth floor. The seminar is designed for those who are planning to run for public offices or would like to help with campaigns. It will provide information on how to get started, complete required paperwork and utilize traditional and social media effectively. In addition, three elected officials will share their experiences. This regional event is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Lackawanna County and of Monroe County.

Scheduled speakers include Marion Medalis, Lackawanna County director of elections; Phil Condron, president of Condron & Company; Kristin Yarmey, digital librarian at The University of Scranton; Senator John Blake, Judge Margaret Bisignani Moyle and School Director Cathy Hardaway.

Cost for the seminar is $35, which includes handouts and a continental breakfast. Student admission is $15. Registration information is available online at www.lwvlackawanna.org, or by calling (570) 941-4155.

Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. The program will begin at 8:20 a.m. and conclude at 1 p.m.

The event's snow date is Sunday, Feb. 9.
