The University of Scranton Performance Music presented recently “Love Songs, a Concert in Memory of Joan Sylvester,” featuring award-winning trombonist Wycliffe Gordon H’06. Pictured at the concert performed in memory of Joan Sylvester, a lifelong Northeast Pennsylvania resident, are her husband Robert (Bob) Sylvester, vice president emeritus for institutional advancement at The University of Scranton; Cheryl Boga, director of performance music at the University and Gordon, who performed as soloist with the University’s Jazz Ensemble.
