Presidential Scholarship
These merit-based, full-tuition scholarships are awarded for exemplary
academic achievement. Presidential scholars are typically in the top 2%
of their class, have a minimum Math and Critical Reading SAT score of
1400, a GPA of 3.9 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), and have demonstrated
leadership and community service. Seventeen Presidential scholars were enrolled as freshmen for the 2012 fall semester.
Dean's Scholarship
These merit-based, partial-tuition scholarships are awarded to students
who demonstrate the highest level of academic achievement. Recipients
are typically in the top 20% of their class, with a minimum Math and
Critical Reading SAT score of 1300 and a 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale),
or are in the top 10% of their class, with a minimum Math and Critical
Reading SAT score of 1200 and a 3.8 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale). One hundred five freshmen were awarded Dean's scholarships for the 2012-13 academic year.
Loyola Scholarship
These merit-based, partial-tuition scholarships are awarded to students
who demonstrate a strong level of academic achievement, are in the top
30% of their high school class, have a minimum Math and Critical Reading
SAT score of 1100, and a 3.2 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale). Four hundred twelve freshmen were awarded Loyola scholarships for the 2012-13 academic year.
The merit scholarship program is named in honor of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, the
founder of the Society of Jesus.
Arrupe Scholarship
Under-represented groups of students are considered for the Arrupe
merit-based scholarship. Eighty-four Arrupe scholarships were made to members of the 2012 freshman class.
