ROBERT MCDEVITT SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

An applicant must:
  • Be a student with financial need
  • Be a student of academic excellence
  • Be a student who combines studies with job and family responsibilities

CHARLOTTE W. NEWCOMBE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

The Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation (www.newcombefoundation.org) offers scholarships to returning or second-career women.
An applicant must:
  • Female at least 25 years of age
  • Earned 60 credits or more by the end of the current Spring term
  • Be registered for at least 6 credits for the Fall semester
  • Have an overall GPA of 3.0 or better
The College of Graduate and Continuing Education will notify students who have met these criteria. Completed applications must be received by the given deadline before fund will be disbursed to student’s account.

OPPENHEIM SCHOLARSHIP

An applicant must:
  • Be a Female
  • Be an undergraduate student from Lackawanna County with financial need
  • Be a Displaced homemaker (single head of household)
  • Be a person of talent who has excellent promise of success

To apply for the McDevitt, Newcombe or Oppenheim awards, students must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 15th.
