Beyond the Commons
Beyond the Commons is a dinner series that gives members of the senior class an opportunity to connect with Scranton alumni. Each dinner, set in a venue in downtown Scranton, brings 10-20 members of the senior class together with two or three alumni.
The atmosphere of each dinner is casual, and conversation is centered on a topic chosen by a member of the Senior Class Committee. Last year, over 250 members of the senior class 30 alumni participated in a Beyond the Commons dinner.
Past dinner topics include:
- The Nursing Profession
- Staying Connected After Graduation
- Managing Personal Finances
- Investment Banking
- Personal Relationships After College
- Surviving Life in the Big City
- Service After Graduation
- How to Build a Professional Network
