Beyond the Commons

Beyond the Commons is a dinner series that gives members of the senior class an opportunity to connect with Scranton alumni. Each dinner, set in a venue in downtown Scranton, brings 10-20 members of the senior class together with two or three alumni.

The atmosphere of each dinner is casual, and conversation is centered on a topic chosen by a member of the Senior Class Committee.  Last year, over 250 members of the senior class 30 alumni participated in a Beyond the Commons dinner.

Past dinner topics include:

  • The Nursing Profession
  • Staying Connected After Graduation
  • Managing Personal Finances
  • Investment Banking
  • Personal Relationships After College
  • Surviving Life in the Big City
  • Service After Graduation
  • How to Build a Professional Network

Members of the Senior Class Committee have already begun to plan dinners for this year. If you are graduating this spring, and would like to suggest a topic please fill out the form below or contact Corey Henfling, Assistant Director of Parent Relations & Class Affinity at henflingc2@scranton.edu or 570-941-4245.
