Veterans and Military Admission

The University of Scranton is committed to supporting veterans and active personnel of the U.S. military and their families. We have been selected by G.I. Jobs magazine as a Military Friendly School for 2011-2012, placing us in the top 15% of all schools nationwide. We offer a number of services and benefits for veterans and eligible dependents, including:
  • Yellow Ribbon Program: The University of Scranton agrees to provide additional scholarships to eligible veterans to assist them in paying for tuition and fees at the University. For information, including eligibility requirements, please visit the Yellow Ribbon Program website.
  • Principles of Excellence:The University of Scranton intends to undertake good faith compliance with Executive Order 13607 Principles of Excellence, pending clarifying guidance from the Departments of Defense, Education, and Veteran’s Affairs, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
  • Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA): The University of Scranton participates in the Department of Defense’s employment assistance program for military spouses of active duty service members. This program helps military spouses find employment in high-demand, high-growth Portable Career fields. MyCAA offers eligible participants up to $6,000 of Financial Assistance that can help them pursue education, training, licenses, certificates and degrees leading to employment in Portable Career fields.
