    • The University of Scranton is a Jesuit institution in Northeast Pennsylvania.  We have approximately 4,100 undergraduate students and 61 different majors including accounting, computer science, education, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy and pre-professions.  Our students have the option to double major, study abroad,  and participate in honors programs, internships,  ROTC and over 80 different clubs and organizations.     • November 15: Early Action
      Early Action is a non-binding program for all students who have a strong desire to attend The University of Scranton. Students interested in Nursing, Occupational Therapy and the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program are especially encouraged to apply Early Action, as these programs are more competitive. We will mail Early Action admission decisions on December 15.

      November 15: SAT/ACT Optional Deadline
      Students may apply without submitting standardized test (SAT/ACT) scores if they are in the top 30% of their graduating class. Students attending schools that do not rank must have a GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. Students applying to the D.P.T. guaranteed seat, Nursing or Occupational Therapy programs may not apply SAT/ACT Optional. Students who would like to designate a pre-professional area of Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Medical, Pre-Optometry, Pre-Podiatry or Pre-Veterinary Medicine may also not apply SAT/ACT Optional.

      December 15: Regular Decision Application Review Begins
      Regular Decision applications will be reviewed after Early Action candidates have been notified. Once the completed application is received, it can take four to six weeks to process. Applicants will be notified on a rolling basis after December 15.

      March 1: Preferred Application Deadline
      We accept qualified applicants on a rolling basis, but we strongly encourage students to apply as early as possible.

      May 1: National Candidates' Reply Date
      Admitted applicants must reserve their place in the fall class by this date. This is accomplished by submitting both the confirmation card provided in your acceptance packet and the appropriate fee. Admitted applicants may also submit their deposit online; instructions are included in your acceptance packet.
  • Scholarships

    • All accepted students are evaluated for academic merit scholarships. No special applications are required. Students receiving merit scholarships will be notified of the amount in their acceptance letter. For more information on financial aid and scholarships, please click here.
