Academic Search Elite (EBSCO)

Indexing and abstracts for 3,484 journals with fulltext for over  2,000 journals, including more than 1,500 peer-reviewed titles.

Annual Reviews

A searchable database for bibliographic records from 1984-1995. Provides annual reviews of to over 29 fields in three subject areas (biology and medical sciences, physical sciences, and social sciences). Full-text from 1996 to the present. Updated annually.

Business Abstracts with Full Text (H.W. Wilson):

Indexes and abstracts articles from English language periodicals published in the United States and elsewhere, including the leading business magazines, trade and research journals.  Full text of selected periodicals. The abstracts range from 50 to 150 words and describe the content and scope of the source articles. Full text coverage begins in January 1995.

Catholic Periodical and Literature Index

CPLI is the product of a partnership between ATLA and the Catholic Library Association. CPLI sources include, but are not limited to, periodicals, books, newspapers, and papal documents dealing on the practice of the Catholic faith and lifestyle.

Education Full Text (H.W. Wilson):

Provides thorough and reliable indexing of some 550 leading periodicals for students, teachers, professors, and college administrators. Encompasses all areas of concern to today's educators, including administration, teaching methods, and curriculum. Coverage is from 1983 to the present. Updated monthly.

Emerald Library

Full text collection of 130 academic and professional journals primarily from the MCB University Press, Bradford, UK. Includes about 20,000 fully referenced, scholarly articles covering a wide range of topics. Coverage is from 1989 to the present.   

Index to Legal Periodicals and Books (H.W. Wilson):

Indexes periodicals from the United States, Great Britain, Canada, and Australia to meet the research needs of attorneys, law professors, librarians, law students, paralegals, and others involved with the law.

Lexis-Nexis

Provides access to journals, magazines, and newspapers in full text format. The subject areas covered are news, business, law, health, and reference. This database is updated daily, and sources can be searched for the last five or ten years, and in some cases back 30 plus years to provide bibliographic records. This database contains over 5200 sources.

MEDSCAPE (Free with registration)

Access to Medscape is FREE, but requires a one-time membership registration. Medscape is organized by medical specialty, with each supported specialty having its own custom Web Site. Medscape's content comes from an assortment of sources including: clinical eJournals, more than 50 medical journals and textbooks, professional medical news from Reuters, MedscapeWire, and medical news journal publishers, business and finance publishers, managed care and medical practice publishers, and more. This internet site is updated daily, and contains links to MEDLINE as well as other web-based medical sites.

ProQuest Central

ProQuest Central is the largest aggregated full-text database in the market today totaling more than 11,250 titles—with over 8,400 titles in full text. It serves as the central resource for researchers at all levels in all markets.

PsycINFO (EBSCO)

Provides citations with abstracts from more than 1,300 international journals plus books and book chapters containing the literature of psychology and the behavioral sciences. Information dates from 1887 to the present.

SAGE Journals Online

Fulltext access to over 460 journals in business, humanities, social sciences, science, technology and caregivers. The Guide covers diseases, disorders, treatments, procedures, specialties, anatomy, biology, and issues in an A-Z format, with sidebars addressing recent developments in medicine and concise information boxes for all diseases and disorders.

Social Sciences Full Text (H.W. Wilson):

Covers over 550 periodicals in the fields of anthropology, economics, geography, law and criminology, political science, social work, and sociology. Covers 1983 to the present. Updated monthly.

Wiley Online Library

Indexes 1,000 journals, major reference works, online books, laboratory manuals and management resources. Fulltext of articles is available only for those journals to which the library subscribes. Indexing is interdisciplinary. Users may search all disciplines or select: business, life sciences, chemistry, mathematics and statistics, computer science, earth and environmental science, physics, astronomy, education, polymers and material science, engineering, psychology, law, and social sciences.
