This service covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals. As of August5, 2010, there are 5,255 journals in the directory, 2,188 journals are searchable at article level, and 430,565 articles are included in the DOAJ service.Covers every doctoral dissertation completed in the U.S. at accredited institutions from 1861 to the present. Covers the time period of 1980 to the present.NLM Gateway is intended for the user who is new to the National Library of ’s online resources. It searches simultaneously: MEDLINE/PubMed, OLDMEDLINE, LOCATORplus, AIDS Meetings, Health Services Research Meetings, HSRProj, MEDLINEplus (the NLM’s database for medical consumers), and DIRLINE. To restrict your search to resources to which the Library has access, chose “Library Subscribes.”Indexes 1,000 journals, major reference works, online books, laboratory manuals and management resources. Fulltext of articles is available only for those journals to which the library subscribes. Indexing is interdisciplinary. Users may search all disciplines or select: business, life sciences, chemistry, mathematics and statistics, computer science, earth and environmental science, physics, astronomy, education, polymers and material science, engineering, psychology, law, and social sciences.
