Title IX
Title IX states that, "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal , financial assistance." Title IX prohibits a recipient from discriminating on the basis of sex in admissions, recruitment, financial aid, academic programs student treatment and services, counseling and guidance, discipline, classroom assignment, grading, vocational, education, recreation, physical education, athletics, housing and employment. The Supreme Court also has concluded that Sexual Harassment violates Title IX Franklin v. Gwinnett County. Public School. 503 U.S. 60(1992).
