To qualify for admission to the University of Success a student must meet at least three of the following qualifications:

1. The student's family is economically disadvantaged.
2. The student's cultural background is underrepresented in higher education.
3. The student shows strong academic ability and is recognized by the guidance staff as having the potential to pursue higher education.
4. The student is a potential first-generation college student in his/her family.

Interested students must complete a Student Information form and write an essay about why he/she wants to be in the program. A parent or guardian of the student must complete and sign the parent/guardian form as well as the permission for grade release form. A letter of recommendation from an adult (school guidance counselor or teacher) that attests to the student's character is required.
