The 17th Annual Healthcare Symposium
The University of Scranton Masters of Health Administration program, a participant in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Higher Education Network, will be hosting its 18th Annual Healthcare Symposium on Thursday, April 18, 2013. The purpose of the 18th Annual Healthcare Symposium is to promote closer relationships with the regional community of healthcare professionals, students, and consumers while providing continuing education for professional development. This year's symposium is entitled "Innovation in Population Health Management".
Student Activities
International Dinner
The International Dinner is a potluck event held each year where students and faculty are invited to prepare and present dishes that reflect their heritage and nationalities.
Holiday Alumni Networking Event
Each year, the Holiday Alumni Networking Event brings together current MHA students and MHA alumni to network and discuss the latest topics in healthcare.
Annual Spring Barbeque
Dr. Spinelli hosts the Annual Spring Barbeque at his home outside of Scranton each year, giving MHA students and faculty the chance to interact outside of the program.
MHA Alumni Society Golf Tournament
For students that are interested, the MHA Alumni Society golf tournament is held in the spring. At this event, students and faculty join teams and enjoy a competitive round of golf.
Mentor Program
Students are encouraged to take part in the mentor program, which pairs first year students with second year students in order to facilitate networking and to allow first year students to obtain valuable advice from second-year students regarding the program, coursework, and career planning.
