Chi Delta Rho

Chi Delta Rho is the local chapter of Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society International. The mission of Chi Sigma Iota, the international honor society for professional counselors, counselor educators, and students established at Ohio University in 1985, is to promote scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership and excellence in counseling, and to recognize high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the profession of counseling. (csi-net.org)

We promote a strong professional identity through members (professional counselors, counselor educators, and students) who contribute to the realization of a healthy society by fostering wellness and human dignity. (csi-net.org)

Chi Delta Rho Chapter was established at the University of Scranton in 1994 by Dr. Ann Marie Toloczko. Our chapter currently has more than 60 active members including current students, alumni, and faculty. We focus on promoting excellence in the profession of counseling and hope to get members more involved in professional development, community engagement, wellness and more.

Students eligible to join CSI must have completed 12 credits and must have maintained an overall scholastic average of 3.5 or better while enrolled in the program. Any students who meet these requirements and are interested in joining Chi Sigma Iota may contact the Chi Sigma Iota faculty advisor, Dr. Lori Bruch (lori.bruch@scranton.edu or 570-941-4308).
