John A. Ruddy

John A. Ruddy is an adjunct professor of Finance in the Economics/ Finance Department, The Arthur J. Kania School of Management, University of Scranton, Scranton, Pennsylvania. Mr. Ruddy has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Scranton, Scranton, PA (1991) where he graduates cum laude.  He also has M.B.A. in Finance and Investments from The George Washington University, Washington, D.C. (1996), and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration, with a focus in Finance at Pace University, New York City.  As is noted above, he also has passed the Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst examinations and has the requisite experience for both designations.

Since 2004, Mr. Ruddy has taught at the University of Scranton as an adjunct professor and as a guest lecturer. He has lectured undergraduate and graduate level classes in accounting and finance. He has also worked as an Accounting and Finance practitioner since 1991.  He started his career as an auditor for the federal government, worked for a Big 4 accounting firm and several money center financial institutions. He currently works as a partner in the Black Swan Consulting Group. He also serves as the Finance Committee Chairman for the Scranton Preparatory School and regularly volunteers for charitable organizations, such as the Red Cross.
