- Turnitin.com
The University of Scranton currently subscribes to turnitin.com, an on-line service designed to help detect plagiarism and a great tool to help students revise drafts to avoid plagiarism. The CTLE Writing Center staff has access to this valuable resource to help students detect and correct instances of plagiarism. Faculty can open accounts to create “classes” and monitor students’ progress. Students can also open their own accounts to ensure they do not unintentionally plagiarize. For more information and to take a tour of how the system works, click on the above link. - RefWorks
Thanks to the Weinberg Memorial Library, students, faculty, and staff can register for a RefWorks account. RefWords is a powerful research tool that allows users to build databases of research records, import sources from numerous sources online, organize and manage information, share information, format bibliographies and manuscripts, and change formats. To register for an account or to take the RefWorks tour, click on the above link.
