Your LSAT score is based on the number of questions answered correctly. There is no deduction for a wrong answer and all questions are weighted the same.

There are a total of six sections on the exam - 35 minutes each

4 of the 5 multiple-choice sections count toward your final score

1 of the 5 sections is experimental, used only to test questions for future exams

The essay is not scored and is rarely used by admissions officers to evaluate your performance

You may only take the LSAT three times in a two-year span.  However, most studies find that scores do not improve dramatically the more times you take the test.  Therefore, it is generally recommended that you prepare well and plan on taking the test only one time.  A second taking is possible if you truly feel that the first score does not accurately reflect your abilities. The LSAC reports all individual scores as well as the average of these scores. Most law schools average multiple LSAT scores and base their application process on this average.

You are allowed to cancel your score a maximum of 3 times. Although the test score is not recoded, your cancellation is recorded by the LSAC.
