TUTORING

University of Scranton students are an excellent resource for highly-skilled tutoring services in a variety of disciplines.  The cost for these services vary.

To advertise to obtain a tutor for your child in grades K-12 to The University of Scranton student body, please contact Tracy Muth, Office of Career Services at mutht2@scranton.edu or call their office at 570-941-7640 during regular business hours.  Please have the subject area, grade and your contact information available.

University of Scranton students sometimes do tutoring to fulfill service learning requirements.  While a tutor cannot be promised, we will make every effort to help find a tutor for a child in need who cannot afford to pay for services.  Children must be tutored on campus, in the library or student center, for a maximum of 2 hours per week.  The days and times are set by the tutor and parent.  Volunteer tutors are available between Sept 1 and Nov 30 during the fall semester and Feb 1 and April 15 of the spring semester.  There is no volunteer tutoring during December or summer break.  For more information on this program, please contact Ellen Judge, Community Outreach Office, at judgee2@scranton.edu or call their office at 570-941-7429 during regular business hours.
